The CT BHI and NEWS 8 Pink Power PSA Contest

1. HOW TO ENTER

a.   The CT BHI and NEWS 8 Pink Power PSA contest will begin on February 18th  2013 at 12:00am and ends on April 01 th  2013 at             11:59PM

b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method(s):

Go to the contest page atwww.wtnh.com (mobile and tablet  version as well) and complete the contest entry form
         including uploading a video under 2 minutes that asks people to participate in the CT BHI's Race in the Park.  Files can be
      uploaded as avi, .dv, .mov, .qt, .mp4, .mpeg, .3gp, .asf, .wmv, .mpg). Maximum file size = 200 MB.

  Facebook - visit WTNH NEWS 8’s Facebook page and then click on the contest link on the top Facebook bar on the timeline.
  Follow the instructions to complete your registration and upload your video entry. Go to http://www.facebook.com/WTNH8

All participants fully release Facebook from any liability.  This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.  Entrants are providing information to the stations.

     Or, mail your entry on a DVD or CD to: Pink Power PSA Contest, News 8 Marketing, 8 Elm St, New Haven, CT 06510. Please
     includeyour name, address, phone, age, and a completed entry form which can be found on the contest page at wtnh.com.

c.  An entry consists of a video file and a completed entry form.  Incomplete entries may be disqualified.

d. The video’s intended purposes should be to educate the public about the CT Breast health Inititives’s (CT BHI) Race in the Park
     presented by NEWS 8 on Saturday May 111th.  For information about the Race and CT BHI please visit  
            http://www.wtnh.com/subindex/community andhttp://ctbhi.org/  

Please Note: With the exception of  photos and information from the Pink Power section of WTNH.com and the CT BHI website, any material included in the video must be the intellectual property of the entrant(s).


e.  No matter which delivery method you choose, all entries must be received by the station no later than March 18th  2013 at 11:59PM

f.   The Station is not responsible for lost, stolen, mangled, incorrectly delivered, illegible, incomplete or late entries. The Station is not  
     responsible for Internet transmission errors, illegible entries, service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and
     any other technological difficulties that may prevent transmitting his/her entry.

g.  Participants may not wear logos or include any type of music or other intellectual property for which participants lack appropriate
     clearances in their submission. Participants who use inappropriate language, imagery, nudity, or any other content deemed
     inappropriate by the Station or CT Breast Health Initiative may be disqualified.

e. One entry per person allowed.

 2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The contest is open to all WTNH-TV viewers who are 13 through 20 years of age and live and attend school in the state of
    Connecticut. 

b.  Signed consent and release forms from parent or legal guardians must be submitted at time of entry for each individual participant
      under the age of 18.

c.  Employees of WCTX-TV and WTNH-TV (the “Station”), its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising
      agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, are ineligible to participate or win.  Subject to all applicable federal, state,
      and local laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited. 
 
3.  PRIZES

a.  One First Prize winner will receive an educational Scholarship of the amount of $3000 to be split evenly among the winning video’s
      participants.

b.  One Second winner will receive an educational Scholarship of the amount of $2000 to be split evenly among the winning video’s
      participants.

c.  One third prize winner will receive an educational Scholarship of the amount of $1000 to be split evenly among the winning video’s
     participants.

d.  There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not
      include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.
 
4.  WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a.  Decisions of the judges with respect to the contest are final.

b.   Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges from CT BHI and News 8 based upon the following criteria-
 
I.  Tag Line: The CT BHI tag line is clearly mentioned in the video
    Supporting Leading Edge Breast Cancer Research in Connecticut

II. Creativity:  The message is told in a unique and novel manner

III. Flow: Elements of the message are woven together seamlessly while grabbing  
      the attention of the viewer

IV. Facts:  The facts of the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative's Race in the Park are clearly 
      stated (date, location, presented by NEWS 8)

V. Quality: The video is well made and appears professional 

VI. Message:  The purpose of the Race is clear as well the CT BHI mission

VII. Number of Votes: We will consider the amount of votes from the public
 
c. In the event that an alternate is needed, one will be chosen from all remaining entrants.

d. The winners will be selected no later than  April 05, 2013 and notified via phone call.

e. All decisions made by CT BHI and News 8 are final and binding.

f.  Odds of winning depend on the number of persons submitting an entry.

CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS  
    Form W-9 or the equivalent.

b.   All participants agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest
      without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, winners must sign a publicity release confirming such consent
      prior to acceptance of the prize. 

c.  At any time during the contest, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest participants or winners (and their travel
     companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated
     corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, participating sponsors/promotional partners, employees, agents and
     representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or
     participation in the contest.

d.  You must not now be a candidate for public office.

e.   All entries and recorded materials will not be returned to you whether or not you are selected as a winner. Any expenses you incur
      during the application process are your sole responsibility.

f.  The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize, which will become
    effective upon announcement.

g.  Failure to comply with the contest rules or the Station’s website Terms of Service may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at
     the discretion of the Station.

h.  The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in
      the announcement of a prize.

i.  Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main
    studio of WTNH-TV, 8 Elm Street, New Haven, CT 06510.
